    Warm Cherry Cherry Crisp


    2 tablespoons butter
    · 1 can (21 ounces) cherry pie filling
    · 1/2 cup dried sour cherries
    · 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
    · 3 cups prepared granola
    · 1 pint vanilla ice cream (optional)

    Recipe




    1. In a small heatproof cup, melt the 2 tablespoons butter.
    2. In a medium saucepan, combine the 1 can cherry pie filling, 1/2 cup dried cherries, and 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon.


    Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.

    In a medium bowl, stir together the 3 cups granola and 2 tablespoons melted butter. Pat half the granola mixture into a 9 1/4 by 6 1/2 by 2-inch baking pan. Place the pan in a toaster oven and bake at 350 degrees F until the layer begins to brown, about 5 minutes.

    Spoon the hot cherry filling over the toasted granola crust and top it with the remaining granola mixture. Return the pan to the toaster oven and toast until the topping browns, about 5 minutes. Serve warm, with vanilla ice cream, if desired.
