Creamy Rice Pudding
4 c. or 1 qt. milk
1/2 c. uncooked long grain
1/2 c. raisins
rice
1/2 c. sugar
1 t. vanilla
Recipe
Combine milk and rice,and heat slowly until boiling. Turn into greased 1 1/2 qt. baking dish.
Bake at 300 for 45 min.,stirring 3 or 4 times. Rinse and drain raisins. Stir in sugar,raisins and vanilla and bake 15 min. longer. Serve warm or cool depending on your taste.
Note: This is referred to as DEATH PUDDING in my husband's family. The only time they had it was when a mysterious relative brought it to a family funeral. I make it for happy occasions and it seems to taste the same !!
