Marinated Shrimp Recipe
2 pints onions – sliced thin
2 ½ cooked (boiled) shrimp (preferably 40/50 P&D)
7 bay leaves
1 ½ cups vegetable oil
¾ cups white vinegar
3 tbs capers (undrained)
2 ½ tsp celery seed
2 tsp salt
2 tsp Tabasco sauce
Dash of Worcestershire
Recipe
Mix the items above together and pour over boiled shrimp & onions
Layer the sliced onions & shrimp in container
Pour marinade over shrimp and onions
Cover and chill, 4 to 8 hours, then turn container over
Turn container every 12 hours or so
Should be ready for serving in 24 to 36 hours
May be served as appetizer, or as topping on other item, such as a salad
NOTE: Container must be fully sealable (and able to flip upside-down, without leaking)
