Grandma's Fried Apples from David
1/4 stick butter
2 apples, peeled and sliced
1 1/2 tablespoon brown sugar
Recipe
Melt butter in skillet over medium heat, add apple slices and toss
until coated. Toss every few minutes until they start to look
transparent. Sprinkle with brown sugar, toss again until coated. Turn
heat to low and cover pan. Let sit for a few minutes until the apples
collapse and the sugar is all dissolved.
I prefer this dish without cinnamon. The brown sugar and butter
together give more of a good sweet cinnamon apple taste.
Those of you from the south know that this is best served with fresh
homemade buttered bisquits.
