Weight Watchers Baked Apples with Orange and Strawberry Sauce

4 granny smith apples
cinnamon
1 c. orange juice
1 pint strawberries
liquid artificial sweetener to taste
Garnish:
2 T. slivered almonds or chopped pecans
orange slices
Recipe
Peel and core apples. When peeling, leave some peel on to create a horizontal striped effect. Place in a small baking dish. Sprinkle cinnamon over, then orange juice. Bake, covered, or 30-35 minutes, or microwave on high 6-8 minutes, until tender but still retaining their shape. Baste occasionally to prevent drying out. While apples are cooking, wash and hull strawberries and puree them. Add sweetener to puree. When apples are cooked, lift gently onto individual serving dishes. Reduce cooking liquid by boiling if necessary and pour into strawberry puree. Mix and pour over apples. Decorate with slivered almonds and orange slices. Serve warm or chilled. To store: Cover and refrigerate for up to two(2) days.
