    List of Ingredients

    New Orleans Style Grilled Oysters

No less than 6 fresh oysters in the shell per person, make
cooking sauce from: About one stick melted butter ( use the real
stuff here), chopped fresh garlic to taste, salt and pepper to taste,
    for each 6 oyster batch.

    Recipe

Preheat barbecue grill or inside use a toaster oven set high.

Scrub the oyster shells under cold running water with a brush.

Open, discard top shell and loosen oyster from bottom shell.

If you cannot get oysters in the shell you can use oysters in a jar but you lose a little flavor.

Take an oyster from the jar and put in a small oven proof ramincan or baking cup.

Place about a table spoon of the flavored melted butter over each oyster. Place oysters (cup side on nbottom so they don't fall out) on hot grill about 4 inches from hot
    coals.

Cover barbecue with lid, open any vents, and cook 3 to 5
minutes (depending on size) or until done to your taste. U

Using a oven mitt 'cause they get hot, remove the oysters from the grill, taking care not to spill their juices.

Sprinkle grated parmesan cheese and chopped green onion on top of hot oysters.

    Transfer onto a serving platter.

Serve with left over melted butter, your favorite hot sauce, and lemon wedges.

You can vary the cooking sauce and experiment with herbs you like best. You can also sprinkle with bacon bits to add a different flavor.
