Kid's Thumbprint Cookies
1 pkg. (8 oz.) Philadelphia Cream Cheese, softened
3/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
2 tsp. vanilla extract
2-1/4 cups flour
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup finely chopped pecans (optional)
1-1/4 cups jam, any flavor
Recipe
Beat cream cheese, butter, granulated sugar and vanilla in large bowl with
electric mixer on medium speed until well blended. Add flour, baking soda and pecans; mix well. Cover. Refrigerate 30 minutes.
Preheat oven to 350�. Shape dough into 1" balls. Place on ungreased
baking sheets. Make sure Kid's hands are clean then allow them to indent center of each cookie by pressing their thumb into the top of each ball.
Bake 10 minutes. Fill each cookie with about 1 teaspoon of jam. Continue baking 8 to 10 minutes or until golden brown.
Makes: about 60 cookies.
