    Mini Burgers & Frank Kebabs from David


    For the mini-burgers:

    1 pound ground chuck
    1 Tbsp. garlic powder
    1 tsp. cayenne
    sea salt & ground pepper

    For the franks:

    1 (12-oz.) package mini-hot dogs or regular dogs cut into thirds

    For the dipping sauce
    1 tsp. Dijon mustard
    2 Tbsps. grainy Dijon mustard
    1 Tbsp. blackstrap molasses
    1/2 tsp. turmeric
    1/2 tsp. chili powder
    2 Tbsps. champagne vinegar

    Recipe




    Preheat grill to medium-high. In a bowl, combine the burger ingredients, and form into approximately 20 mini-sized burgers. Thread 2 mini-burgers and 2 franks onto each skewer, alternating 1 of each, and grill for 4 minutes per side.

    Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine all the dipping sauce ingredients. Serve skewers hot, with dipping sauce on the side.

    Makes 4 to 6 servings
