Authentic Veggie Subs
2 slices of favorite organic, vegan tofu "cheese"
thin slices of green pepper
thin slices of onion
thin slices of tomatoes
sliced pitted black olives
sliced canned mushrooms - drained
romaine lettuce leaves - or your favorite
drizzle of Italian Dressing or oil & vinegar
1 sub bun per person
Recipe
Split sub bun in 2 for top & bottom. If you desire a "Hot Sub" preheat oven to 350 degrees. Drizzle dressing or oil & vinegar on inside of sub bun top, then place the 2 slices of vegan cheese on top of that. Set top bun aside or on cookie sheet if you plan to heat sub. Take bottom bun & "load up" to your liking of veggies. Then put top on bottom & heat in oven= @ 350 degrees for 10 mins. Or if you prefer - it's ready to eat cold.
