    Muffaletta Sandwich:


    1 loaf muffaletta bread (Italian)
    1 cup olive salad mix (recipe follows)
    1/4 pound ham-sliced
    1/4 pound mortad ella-sliced
    1/4 pound Genoa salami-sliced
    1/4 pound provolone-sliced
    1/4 pound mozzarella-sliced
    Olive salad:
    3/4 cup stuffed green olives-chopped
    1/4 cup pitted Kalamata olives-chopped
    2 pepperoncini-chopped
    1 Tbl. capers
    1/2 tsp. garlic-minced
    1/4 tsp. parsley
    1/4 tsp. oregano
    3 Tbls. red wine vinegar
    3 Tbls. green onions-sliced thin
    1/2 cup olive oil
    Salt and pepper to taste

    Recipe





    1. Slice the bread in half lengthwise and layer the bottom with the olive salad.

    2. Next add the sliced meat, then the sliced cheese.

    3. Add the top and let the sandwich rest (as long as you can stand it) to let the juice from the salad get into the bread.

    4. Cut into quarters and serve.

    Olive salad:

    -Mix all of the ingredients and let rest for as long as possible(up to one week). Serve on muffaletta sandwiches.
