Fettuccine Alfredo with Parmesan Butter and Cream
1 pound fettuccine, cooked until tender but firm
1/2 cup butter, melted
1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 cup heavy cream
Salt and white pepper to taste (remember that white pepper is stronger than black pepper)
Recipe
In a large bowl, toss together the hot pasta with the remaining ingredients until blended. Serve at once. Delicious.
Serves 6
Note: If you own a spaghetti cooker, then you can prepare the pasta earlier and keep it in the upper strainer, drained. To serve, bring water to a boil, lower pasta into boiling water and cook for 2 minutes. I like to add 2 T. oil to the boiling water, when cooking pasta It helps keep the pasta from sticking.
