    Tired of all the big bunches of basil you buy going limp and black on you? Take it out of the fridge. Fresh basil doesn't like to be chilled.

    Stick the stems in a glass or vase of water when you get home and keep the basil in a cool place in your kitchen, not in a sunny window.
