Freezing Corn On The Cob Recipe
Blanch corn on the cob for 7-11 (7 for small ears and 11 for large)
minutes in boiling water then plunge the ears into cold water and
drain well. Put the ears on a cookie sheet and freeze. When ears
are frozen wrap in plastic wrap or foil and transfer to plastic bags for storage.
You can freeze individual ears with husks as well. Pull back husks,
remove silk and replace husk. Blanch 3-6 minutes in boiling water
and then plunge into cold water to cool completely. Freeze in
individual freezer bags.
You can use the husk free version and remove the corn from the cob
and then freeze for excellent results too.
Frozen corn tastes like fresh even months later.
