    ~ Instead of salt, add fresh lemon juice. It will give the soup a fresh
    taste and eliminate the sodium in your diet.

    Put longer-cooking, harder vegetables in first, before adding softer
    vegetables. For example, potatoes should go in the soup long before peas.


    Try different herbs, but one herb should be dominant, so you can taste
    the one herb more than the others.


    ~Make every soup different by adding varied ingredients; change the
    vegetables and the herbs you use each time.

    ~ I cannot stress this enough, dried herbs must be FRESH rather than old.
    ~ Extra soup should be frozen and labeled. Do not leave in the refrigerator
    for more than 2 days.

    ~ Freezing your soup? Take out the amount to be frozen before you've added
    the tender vegetables (which can be added when reheating).
    ~ A nice Italian recipe, hard bread on the bottom of soup will make a
    hearty and delicious meal.
