    How to thicken sour cream

    "This procedure takes 24 hours, but it yields perfect results for dipping fresh fruit.

    1. Line a fine wire-mesh strainer with a coffee filter, and place over a bowl.


    2. Spoon yogurt or sour cream into filter. Cover with plastic wrap, and chill at least 24 hours. Yogurt or sour cream may be chilled up to 72 hours. It gets thicker the longer it chills.

    Discard liquid in bowl.
