    Using Dried Tomatoes

    Dried tomatoes contain all the goodness of ripe tomatoes,
    concentrated in a small package. When re-hydrated, they give any
    number of dishes a big flavor boost! To prepare them:

    * Put dried tomatoes in a small bowl and cover them with room
    temperature or warmed Swanson(R) broth. Let them stand for at least
    10 minutes until nicely plumped.

    * Using a slotted spoon, lift the tomatoes from the broth and gently
    squeeze excess liquid from them. Do not discard the broth, which now
    contains a lot of tomato flavor!

    * Dice or slice the tomatoes and add them to salads, soups, sauces,
    risottos or other rice or pasta dishes, skillet dinners, or
    casseroles.

    * Use the reserved broth in soups or as the base for a sauce.
