    Turn a single can of salmon into
    delicious salmon burgers for four.
    Here's a recipe submitted by Annabel R:

    Prep Time: 15 minutes
    Cook Time: 10 minutes
    Total Time: 25 minutes
    Yield: Four salmon burgers

    INGREDIENTS
    •1 large can salmon
    •1/2 cup frozen chopped spinach
    •1 egg
    •1/4 cup bread crumbs
    •1/2 teaspoon hot sauce
    •Salt
    •Pepper
    PREPARATION:
    1.
    Mix the ingredients together in a bowl.
    Divide into fourths; form the mixture into
    large balls; and then flatten them into patties.

    2.
    Put one teaspoon of olive oil in a pan;
    and sauté the patties until golden brown,
    about four minutes per side.

    3.
    Serve on a bun.

    Annabel says: This is particularly nice with
    couscous or orzo pasta salad and a green
    salad on the side.

    Here's an estimated breakdown of the cost:
    Can of salmon – $2.49, egg – $.15,
    1/2 cup frozen spinach – $.25,
    breadcrumbs – $.05
