    Savory Crescent Tuna Squares


    3 oz. cream cheese, softened
    1 T. soft margarine
    1 T. chopped green onions
    2 cans tuna in water, drained well
    Salt & pepper to taste
    2 T. milk
    1 can crescent rolls

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 350° F. In a medium bowl combine the cream cheese and margarine and beat until smooth. Add the onions, salt and pepper and fold in the tuna. Separate the crescent dough into 4 rectangles and press each to form a 7 x 4 rectangle, firmly pressing the perforations to seal. Spoon a ½ cup of the tuna mixture into the center of each rectangle, then pull the 4 corners of the dough to the center and twist firmly. Pinch the edges to seal. Place on an ungreased cookie sheet. Brush the tops with melted margarine and if desired sprinkle with crushed croutons and garlic powder. Serves 4.
