Seafood Platter
fish, shrimp, oysters, soft shell crabs, cleaned & ready to fry
1 egg, beaten
1/2 cup evaporated milk
dash pepper
dash salt
1 tbp water
1 cup pancake flour
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
Creamy Tarter Sauce
1 cup mayonnaise
2 tsp. minced fresh parsley
2 tsp. sweet pickle relish
1 tsp. minced onion
1 tsp. chopped pimiento stuffed olives
Homemade Horseradish Sauce
1 cup sour cream
1/4 tsp. salt
3 tsp. drained horeseradish
dash paprika
Homemade Cocktail Sauce
1 cup catsup
1 tbsp. lemon juice
2 tsp. horseradish
1 tsp. worchestershire sauce
3 drops tabasco sauce
Recipe
Have fish, shrimp, oysters, soft shell crabs, cleaned & ready to fry. Beat the first 5 ingredients together in a bowl; set aside. Mix the 2 flours together. Dip the seafood in the egg mixture, then in the plastic with the flour mixture and shake one at a time. Put only enough in your fry daddy so they don't touch. Fry until crispy.
Serve with cocktail sauce, homemade horseradish sauce, and creamy tarter sauce.
Creamy Tarter Sauce
Combine all ingredients; mix well. Chill for at least 3 hours.
