Cajun Shrimp Fettuccine

Cook time 20 minutes
4 to 6 oz. fettuccine pasta
1/2 lb. medium shrimp, shelled and deveined
2 slices bacon, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/8 to 1/4 cayenne pepper
1 can ( 14-1/2 oz) Del Monte Cajun Style
Tomatoes (or Original Style*)
1 can ( 8 oz) tomato sauce
1 green pepper, cut into strips
Recipe
Cook pasta as package directs; drain. Cut shrimp in half, lengthwise.
In skillet, cook bacon until crispy; drain. Stir in garlic and cayenne
pepper; cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes and tomato sauce. Cook,
uncovered, over medium heat 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Add
shrimp and green peppers; cook 2 to 3 minutes or until shrimp are cooked.
Just before serving, spoon sauce over hot fettuccine.
* If using Original Style tomatoes, add a pinch of cinnamon, ground cloves
and cayenne pepper.
