Chocolate/Butterscotch Circus Bars
2 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. soda
2 tsp. cinnamon
3/4 cup butter, oleo or shortening
1 cup sugar
2 eggs
1/2 cup chopped nuts
16 oz package semi-sweet chocolate pieces
1 (6 oz) package butterscotch pieces
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350. Lightly grease a 9z13 baking pan. Sift
flour with soda,
salt and cinnamon. Cream butter with sugar till light and
fluffy; beat in
eggs. Beat in flour mixture just until combined; stir in
nuts.
Divide dough in half; stir chocolate into half and
butterscotch in other
half. Spread chocolate mixture in half of pan and
butterscotch in other
half. Bake 30 minutes and cool in pan on wire rack. Cut
into bars, wrap in
plastic wrap or foil and there you have a take along
goodie!
