    Maple Pecan Cheesecake Bars
    cookies

    >>CRUST
    1 pk (22.3 oz) sugar cookie mix
    3/4 cup chopped pecans
    1 each egg
    1/2 cup butter or margarine; softened
    >>TOPPING
    2 pkg (8 oz each) cream cheese; softened
    1 cup packed brown sugar
    2 Tbsp flour
    2 eggs
    2 tsp maple extract
    3/4 cups pecan halves
    2 squares (1 oz each semisweet chocolate, melted; for garnish

    Preheat oven to 350. In medium bowl, blend cookie mix, pecans, egg and
    margarine until well blended. Press into bottom of greased 9"x13" baking

    dish. Bake for 20 minutes. Remove from oven.

    Reduce oven temperature to 325. In large bowl, beat cream cheese and
    sugar
    until light and fluffy. Gradually add flour, then eggs and maple
    extract,
    mixing only until blended.

    Pour mixture over warm crust, and arrange pecan halves attractively on
    surface. Place back in oven, and bake for 15 minutes.

    Remove from oven and cool. Drizzle melted chocolate over. Cut into bars.

    Keep refrigerated.
