    Try serving pecan pie in the form of squares! This is a great way to offer the flavor and texture of pie in a bar form.


    List of Ingredients




    3 cups flour
    2/3 cup brown sugar
    1 1/2 cups butter
    2/3 cup brown sugar
    1 1/2 cups corn syrup
    1 cup milk
    1/3 cup butter, melted
    1 teaspoon vanilla
    4 eggs
    1 1/2 cups chopped pecans

    Recipe



    Mix flour, 3/4 cup brown sugar and 1 1/2 cups butter until crumbly. Reserve 2 cups of crumbs for topping. Press rest of crumbs in bottom and 3/4" up sides of jelly roll pan. Bake 400 degrees for 10 minutes.

    Combine 1/4 cup reserved crumbs, 3/4 cup brown sugar, corn syrup, milk, melted butter, vanilla, and eggs and mix well. Add pecans and pour over prebaked crust. Bake 10 more minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 350 degrees. Sprinkle remaining 1-3/4 cups reserved crumbly mixture over filling and bake at 350 degrees 20-25 minutes until filling is set and top is golden brown.

    Makes 16 servings
