Pumpkin Nut Bars with Orange Icing

List of Ingredients




1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup packed brown sugar
1 cup flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon ginger
2/3 cup canned pumpkin
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup chopped nuts


Orange Icing:
1 1/2 cups sifted confectioners' sugar
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon grated orange peel
2 tablespoons orange juice
Orange paste food coloring



Recipe



Combine all ingredients into a mixing bowl (except the nuts).Beat
ingredients in mixing bowl. Fold in nuts. Spread dough onto a greased 9 x
13 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees between 20 to 25 minutes. Let cool
and add orange icing.

Combine ingredients and add food coloring til you find the color you
like. Spread on icing after cake has cooled . Cut into bars.
