    Best-Ever Garlic-Parsley Bread

    Source of Recipe

    Macklinda

    Recipe Introduction

Peppery parsley and zesty lemon add extra zip to traditional garlic bread. As an alternative, you can even heat this up on the grill!

    List of Ingredients

    Best-Ever Garlic-Parsley Bread

1 loaf Italian bread (about 12 ounces), unsliced
1/4 cup (1/2 stick) butter, softened
1/4 cup finely chopped fresh parsley
    1 large garlic clove, minced
1 teaspoon finely grated lemon peel
    1/4 teaspoon black pepper

    Recipe

    1. Preheat oven to 400F, or prepare grill for medium-low heat. Using a long bread knife, slice the loaf of bread in half horizontally.
    2. In a medium bowl, stir together butter, parsley, garlic, lemon peel and pepper until well blended. Spread butter mixture evenly over cut sides of bread.

    3. Sandwich bread halves together and wrap bread in a sheet of heavy-duty aluminum foil, folding edges around bread to seal.

    4. Bake garlic bread (or grill) until warmed through, turning once, 10-15 minutes. Unwrap carefully and cut the loaf into slices. Serve warm.
