    This is a wonderful sweet and hearty bread. It goes great with a bowl of soup or stew on a winters day, or
    plain with a little butter. It is the easiest bread recipe you will ever make .Makes 2 - 9x5 inch loaves


    List of Ingredients




    2 cups all-purpose flour

    4 cups whole wheat flour

    1 cup white sugar

    2 teaspoons salt

    4 teaspoons baking soda

    4 cups buttermilk

    Recipe



    1 Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Lightly grease two 9x5 inch loaf pans.

    2 In a large bowl, stir together bread flour, whole wheat flour, sugar and salt. In a separate bowl, dissolve
    baking soda in buttermilk. Stir buttermilk into flour mixture. Beat well. Pour batter into prepared pans.

    3 Bake in preheated oven for one hour.
