    Pineapple Cherry Nut bread from

    1/2 cup butter or margarine softened
    1/2 cup sugar
    2 eggs
    2 cups all-purpose flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    8 oz (can) crushed pineapple undrained
    1/2 cup chopped pecans
    1 small jar red cherries in juice Chopped
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract

    Recipe



    Cream butter; gradually add sugar, beating well. Add eggs, one at a
    time, beating well after each addition. Combine flour and baking powder;
    add to creamed mixture alternately with pineapple, mixing well. Stir in nuts
    and cherries Stir in
    vanilla extract. Spoon batter into a greased and floured 9- x 5- x
    3-inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees F. for 55 mins to 1 hr or until a
    wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool loaf in pan 10
    mins; remove from pan and cool completely on a wire rack.

    Makes 1 loaf
