Bird Nests

10 thin biscuits or 1 can oven-ready biscuits
1/2 cup brown sugar
2 cups drained orange sections (about 5 oranges)
10 pats or teaspoons of butter
40 pecan halves



Recipe



Roll each biscuit with rolling pin between 2 sheets of waxed paper to about a circle 4 inches across. Sprinkle with brown sugar; then lay about 4 orange sections in center; top with pat of butter and 2 pecans. Dampen edges of circle and pinch together to make bird nests. Place these in a greased 2-inch deep pie pan. Remove orange half-circles from topping. Pour topping over bird nests. Decorate with orange slices to make scalloped effect around outside edge. Bake in a moderate oven, 375 degrees, about 1 hour.
