    Chocolate Stuffed French Toast

    6 slices French bread -- 1 1/2" thick
    1 1.75 oz bar milk chocolate
    2 tablespoons chopped almonds, pistachios, or pecans
    4 eggs
    1 1/4 cups milk
    1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
    1/4 cup coffee liqueur or milk
    oil, butter, or margarine
    maple syrup or sifted confectioner's sugar

    Preheat griddle to 350. Make a pocket in each bread slice, making cut in
    bottome crust and slicing through center of bread almost to top crust.
    Break chocolate into 6 pieces. Place 1 in ecah pocket. Add 1 teaspoon
    almonds to each one.

    In shallow dish, beat eggs, milk, cinnamon, and coffee liqueur. Dip bread
    into egg mixture for 15 seconds on each side. Add oil as needed to
    griddle.
    Cook bread until golden, turning once. Serve wtih warm maple syrup.
    Serves
    6.
