    French Toast Casserole
    2 loaves French bread - sliced 1" pieces
    1 tsp. butter - for coating the casserole dish
    1 cup sugar
    2 Tbls. Cinnamon
    1 tsp. Allspice
    8 eggs
    2 cups half and half
    1 cup whole milk
    2 Tbls. vanilla extract
    1 portion of Praline Topping (recipe follows)

    1. Slice the French bread into 1 inch thick slices. Arrange in layers in a buttered 9"x13" casserole dish.

    2. Combine the sugar, cinnamon and allspice in a large mixing bowl. Add the eggs, half & half and milk to the sugar mixture and whisk until smooth.

    3. Pour the wet mixture over the arranged bread in the casserole dish, press the mixture into the bread. Cover and reserve cold, 30 minutes (over-night is best).

    4. When ready to bake, top with the Praline topping and bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until set in the middle. Serve hot.

    Praline Topping
    2 cups pecans
    1 cup broown sugar
    2 Tbls. light Karo syrup
    1 Tbls. cinnamon
    2 sticks butter
