    Apple and Rum Custard Cake

    1/4 cup raisins
    1/4 cup rum
    1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    5 tablespoons sugar
    1 tablespoon grated lemon rind
    2/3 cup butter or margarine
    1 egg yolk
    1 tablespoon milk
    1/2 cup bread crumbs
    2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
    4 cups apple slices
    1 tablespoon lemon juice
    1/4 cup sugar
    3 eggs
    1/3 cup sugar
    1-3/4 cups milk


    Recipe

    In a small bowl, combine raisins and rum; let stand for 30 minutes.

    Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 10-inch springform pan with butter.
