    Chocolate Pound Cake w/glaze

    1/2 lb. oleo
    1/2 c. Crisco
    3 c. sugar
    5 eggs
    3 c. all purpose flour
    1/2 tsp. salt
    1/2 tsp. baking powder
    4 tbsp. cocoa
    1 tbsp. vanilla
    1 c. milk

    ICING:
    1 1/4 stick oleo
    4 tbsp. cocoa
    1 1/4 box confectioners sugar
    4 tbsp. milk


    Recipe



    Cream butter, shortening, and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, continually beating. Sift dry ingredients together. Starting and ending with flour add alternately with milk to butter mixture. Bake in tube pan at 300 degrees for 2 hours.

    ICING:

    Over low heat, melt oleo, add other ingredients; stir until smooth. Spread on warm cake. If icing hardens set in pan of hot water.
