    Deep Dish peach Pie



    Pastry for 2 crust pie

    1 cup sugar

    3 tbps. Flour

    1/4 tsp. nutmeg

    6 cup peaches, peeled, thick, sliced

    2 tbps. Lemon juice

    2 tbps. Butter or margarine



    Combine sugar, flour, and nutmeg

    Add sugar mixture to peaches and toss to coat: let stand 5 minutes, stir in lemon juice

    Turn mixture into pie crust , spreading peaches evenly

    Dot with butter

    Place top layer of crust over peach mixture

    Flute edges of crust

    Place pie on a baking sheet

    Bake at 350 for 35 minutes, lower the heat to 325 for 30-35 minutes
