    Diet Apple Crumb Pie

    Filling:

    6 medium apples
    � tsp. (2 ml) Grated lemon rind
    1 tbsp. (15 ml) Lemon juice
    � cup (175 ml) Splenda Granular
    1 tbsp. (15 ml) All-purpose flour
    2 tsp. (10 ml) Cinnamon
    1 Pie crust unbaked 9"

    Topping:

    � cup Rolled oats
    � cup All purpose flour
    � cup Splenda granular
    1 tsp. Cinnamon
    3 tbsp. Calorie reduced margarine
    � cup Sliced almonds (optional)


    Recipe



    For Filling:

    Pare, core and cut apples into � inch thick slices.
    Toss with lemon rind and juice.
    Separately, combine Splenda granular, flour and cinnamon.
    Mix with apples.
    Place in pie crust.

    For Topping:

    Combine rolled oats, flour Splenda granular and cinnamon.
    Stir in margarine until mixture is crumbly.
    Spoon evenly over apples.
    Add almonds, if desired.
    Bake at 425� F for 10 minutes.
    Reduce oven temp. to 350� F, bake 35 to 40 minutes longer or until apples are tender.


    Makes 8 servings
