    Easy Apple Cake

    * 2 1/2 cups diced raw apples, peeled
    * 1/2 cup butter
    * 1 cup white sugar
    * 1 tsp baking soda
    * 1 tsp nutmeg
    * 1/2 cup chopped pecans or raisins
    * 1 tsp cinnamon
    * 1/2 tsp salt
    * 1 egg
    * 1 cup flour

    mix all ingredients together. Bake at 350 in shallow ungreased pan for 1 hour. when cool cut into squares, needs no frosting.
