    Fudge Brownie Pie

    1 unbaked 9-inch pie shell (homemade or from the dairy case, not frozen)
    1/2 cup (1 stick) margarine
    3 squares (1 ounce each) unsweetened chocolate
    1 cup sugar
    1/3 cup light corn syrup
    1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    1/4 teaspoon salt
    1/4 cup flour 3 eggs, slightly beaten
    Whipped topping and/or vanilla ice cream for garnish (optional)

    Preheat oven to 425 degrees.

    In saucepan, melt margarine and chocolate squares over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat.

    Add sugar, corn syrup, vanilla, salt and flour to chocolate mixture; stir until well blended. Mix in eggs and pour filling into unbaked crust. Set pie on baking sheet and bake 5 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and bake 25 to 30 minutes.

    Makes about 8 servings.
