    3 1/2 dl (1 3/4 cup) all-purpose white flour
    1 1/2 dl (3/4 cup) sugar
    1 1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    100 g (3 1/2 oz) butter or margarine
    1 1/2 dl (3/4 cup) milk
    1 tsp cinnamon
dried breadcrumbs for the baking dish

    Recipe

Grease and breadcrumb a round baking dish, capacity 1 1/2 liters
    / 6 cups.
Drain the pears and slice them. Save the liquid.

Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Stir in
    fat, add milk
and stir until well blended. Pour the batter into the dish and
    press down
the sliced pears in a nice pattern. Brush with some of the pear

Allow the cake to cool in the dish for 15 minutes, then brush

    with some
whipped cream and more cinnamon. Enjoy!
