POLKA DOT PIE
� cup butter
� cup light corn syrup
� cup semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups cornflakes
1� 8-ounce packages cream cheese, softened
3 teaspoons vanilla
� cup sugar
� cup maraschino cherries, drained and quartered
� cup chopped pecans
2� cups whipped topping, thawed Chocolate curls for garnish
Recipe
In a saucepan, combine butter, corn syrup, and chocolate chips. Melt over low heat, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add cornflakes, stirring until well coated. Gently press into a well buttered 9-inch pie pan. Chill. In a large bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Stir in vanilla. Gradually beat in sugar. Fold in cherries, pecans, and whipped topping. Spread onto crust. Garnish with chocolate curls. Freeze 4 hours. Let stand at room temperature 15 minutes before cutting. Makes 8 servings.
