    · 1/2 pound chopped candied orange peel

    · 1/2 pound mixed red and green candied cherries; chopped

    · 1/2 pound chopped citron peel

    · 1/4 pound chopped candied pineapple

    · 1/2 pound light seedless raisins

    · grated rind of 1 orange

    · grated rind of 1 lemon

    · 1/4 cup drained crushed pineapple

    · 4 1/3 cups flour

    · 1 teaspoon baking powder

    · 1 teaspoon salt

    · 1 pound butter

    · 2 1/4 cups sugar

    · 8 eggs

    · 1 teaspoon of each; vanilla, almond, and lemon extract

    Grease three loaf pans, then line with foil.
    In a very large bowl, mix the first 8 ingredients together. Sift flour, baking powder and salt, then sift over the fruits, and mix to coat fruit pieces. In another large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each addition. Stir in flavorings. Gradually add fruit; flour mixture, mixing well until thoroughly combined. Pour in prepared pans and bake at 275°F for 2 1/2 hours.
    Have pan of water in oven on lower rack.
