    Russian Cheese Cake

    16 ounces of cream cheese
    1 cup of sugar
    2 eggs
    1 teaspoon of vanilla
    1 graham cracker pie shell
    8 ounces of sour cream
    1 tablespoon of sugar
    1 teaspoon of vanilla
    Cinnamon
    Grated orange peel

    Recipe



    Soften cream cheese. Mix together cream cheese, 1 cup sugar and eggs. Mix until there are no lumps. Add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into pie crust and bake at 350ºF. for 30 minutes or until edges are lightly browned. (It's okay if it begins to crack.) Cool for 15 minutes. Mix sour cream, 1 tablespoon sugar and 1 teaspoon vanilla. Spread on top (after it's cooled for 15 minutes). Sprinkle with cinnamon or orange peel. Bake for 15 more minutes at 350ºF. Chill well (you can put it from oven to refrigerate). Tastes better with age.
