Hamburg Corn Casserole
1 lb. ground beef
1/2 onion, chopped
2 tbsp. green pepper, chopped
Salt to taste
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 can cream of chicken soup
1 cup whole kernel corn, drained
1 cup cooked egg noodles
1 cup sour cream
1/2 stick butter
Bread crumbs
Recipe
Brown ground beef, onions and pepper. Add salt to taste. Mix soups together until smooth; add corn, noodles, sour cream and mix. Pour into casserole dish. Melt butter. Put bread crumbs on top of casserole and top with melted butter. Bake at 375 degrees for approximately 10 to 15 minutes, or until casserole gets hot and bubbly.
My note: I melted the butter and stirred in 3/4 cup of the bread crumbs. Then I sprinkled it over the casserole. I baked it at 350 degrees for 30 minutes, as I made this casserole up ahead of time. I knew it would need more baking time. Also, next time I think I'll add some green beans (frozen & cooked kind) along with the corn.
