    Taco Salad Casserole

    1 pound ground beef
    1 sm. onion - chopped
    1 cup salsa - mild or medium
    3/4 cup water
    1 package taco seasoning mix
    1 can(16oz) kidney beans(drained) or re-fried beans
    tortilla chips - about 6 oz
    1 small head lettuce - cut in small
    4 oz. shredded cheddar cheese or taco blend shredded cheese,
    1 cup sour cream
    chopped tomatoes
    taco sauce

    Preparation -
    Cook beef and onion until beef is browned. Drain fat. Stir in salsa, water and seasoning. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat & simmer 2 to 3 minutes. Stir in beans; Set aside. Layer ingredients as follows in a 9" x 13 dish" pan - lettuce, meat mixture, shredded cheese, sour cream & tomatoes. Serve with taco sauce.
