Pasta Marinara with Bacon and Cheese
12 oz. fettuccine rigatoni or other shaped pasta, cooked until tender but firm ("al dente")
1 small onion, minced
2 cloves garlic, minced
2 T. oil
1 can (1 lb. 12 oz.) crushed tomatoes in tomato puree
1 t. sugar
1 t. Italian Herb Seasoning
1/2 lb. bacon, cooked crisp, drained and finely crumbled
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper to taste
Recipe
Sauté onion and garlic in oil until onion is transparent. Now add the remaining ingredients and simmer sauce for 15 minutes, uncovered. Pour over the Pasta and serve at once.
