    Cherry-Pecan Shortbread

    1-cup flour
    1/2 cup cornstarch
    1/2 cup icing sugar
    3/4 cup butter, softened
    3/4 cup chopped candied cherries (red & green)
    1/2 cup chopped pecans

    Recipe



    Combine: flour, cornstarch, icing sugar.
    With large spoon, blend in butter.
    Mix in nuts & cherries.
    Work in with hands until soft dough forms.
    Shape dough into smooth roll, 1-1/2 " diameter.
    Wrap in plastic wrap.
    Chill 4 hours.
    Cut into 36 cookies.
    Put on ungreased cookie sheet.
    Bake @ 375° for 8-12 minutes, until edges lightly brown
