    Pumpkin Cookies with Frosting

    1 cup sugar
    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1 cup canned pumpkin
    2 eggs
    2 cups flour
    2 teaspoons baking powder
    2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
    1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
    1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
    1/2 cup chopped walnuts


    Cream Cheese Frosting

    1 pound powdered sugar
    1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
    2 teaspoons vanilla
    1/2 cup butter
    1/2 cup finely chopped raisins

    Recipe



    Heat oven to 375 degrees. Beat sugar and butter in large bowl with mixer on medium speed until fluffy. Beat in pumpkin and eggs. Stir in remaining ingredients. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges are set. Immediately remove to wire rack. Makes about 3 1/2 dozen. Frost with cream cheese frosting

    Cream Cheese Frosting

    Combine sugar, cream cheese, vanilla, and butter. Mix until blended. Add raisins and mix until blended. Refrigerate until needed. Make sure cookies are cool before frosting.
