    This comes from the 1943 Family Cookbook, which promises to "make your ration points go twice as far". They have a picture of this pie shell in the book and the caption reads: "who cares about a fat shortage so long as we can have pie shells made of rich toothsome Brazil nuts?".
    1 8inch pie shell (change servings and units)

    Change to: 8inch pie shell US Metric

    Ingredients
    1 1/2 cups ground brazil nuts
    3 tablespoons sugar
    Directions
    1Mix nuts with sugar and press firmly into pie pan.
    2Pour your desired filling into the shell and proceed according to the directions for the pie.
    3Cream pie fillings, slightly cooled, or chiffon pie filling is best.
