Jamacian Jerk Shrimp Creamy Grits
6 cups water
2 cups grits
8 oz cream cheese
8 oz cream
2tsp salt
1 tsp white pepper
1 TBLSP bacon base
1/1-2 lbs fresh shrimp
1 stick real butter
2tsp jerk seasoning
Bring water to a boil, add salt, and grits, cook according to package directions. When grits are done, add bacon base, pepper, cream cheese and cream and whisk until thoroughly creamy.
In a saute pan, melt butter until bubbly, add shrimp and seasoning. Saute' for 3-5 minutes, being careful to brown and not burn the shrimp or seasoning. Pour hot butter and shrimp over grits and serve.
