1 (29 oz. ) can pears
1 (39 oz. ) can apricots
1 (20 oz. ) can pineapple chunks
10 maraschino cherries
1/3 c. melted butter
3/4 c. brown sugar
1/3 c. fruit juice
1/2 tsp. curry powder (I use more, 1 tsp. or to taste)
Recipe
Drain fruit and cut pears and apricots into bite-size pieces. Place in flat Pyrex baking dish. Mix brown sugar, juice and curry powder and pour over fruit. Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour. (I always serve this fruit from a chafing dish. ) Excellent served at brunch with Cheese And Sausage Souffle. Serves 10 to 12.
