Red Hot Cinnamon Candy Baked Apples
6 apples
1/2 cup packed brown sugar
1/3 cup cinnamon red hot candies
1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
Recipe
Preheat oven to 350º F. Lightly butter an 8" square pan.
Remove and reserve tops of the apples.
Core the apples, leaving approximately 1/2" at the bottom. Arrange apples in the baking dish.
In a small bowl, mix together the brown sugar, cinnamon red not candies and cinnamon.
Fill each apple with the mixture.
Replace apple tops, if desired or garnish with chopped nuts.
Sprinkle remaining mixture over the apples.
Bake uncovered in the preheated oven for 30 to 35 minutes, or until apples
are tender.
Yield: 6 servings.
