NORTH POLE COOKIE DOUGH Makes 2 dozen cookies.
This cookie dough makes a great gift to make for family and friends, I gave some to my neighbors last Christmas, they said it was really good.
1 1/2 cups each semisweet chocolate chips and mini marshmallows
1 cup each semisweet chocolate chunks and roasted almonds or roasted walnuts, roughly chopped
1/2 cup each dark brown sugar and sugar
1 1/4 tsp each baking soda and vanilla
2 large eggs
1 cup butter
1/4 tsp salt
1/3 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 2/3 cups flour
Place chocolate chips in microwave dish. Microwave 30 seconds on high, stir and continue to microwave until chocolate is melted. Set bowl aside and cool to room temp. In bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt. In bowl, beat butter and both sugars until light and fluffy.
ADD melted cooled chocolate and vanilla blend until incorporated. Add eggs, beat well. Add flour mixture mixing until incorporated. Fold in chocolate chunks, nuts and marshmallows. Fill pint containers with cookie dough. When giving as a gift, attach following baking instructions:
HEAT oven to 350 degrees. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto parchment lined baking sheets. Flatten dough slightly. Bake 12 min. or until edges are lightly cracked but centers are still soft. Remove from oven and cool slightly on baking sheet before transferring cookies to cool completely, then SERVE...
